For Windows 95, 98 and ME, you need Direct Pad Pro. Get

For Windows 2000, you need PSXPad. You can download it

For Windows XP, you need PSXPad. You can download it and consult
winXP installation instructions on
this page.
For Linux, all you need is Linux. A driver named gamecon
comes with the kernel. You can read the documentation here:
